Shalom! Peace to you and your family! Thank you in advance for taking the time to hear my heart. I am taking a big step in my life and career and want everyone to know about it. Over the past 5 years, I have been dreaming, planning, preparing, and praying about a vocational calling that has finally met tangible action. The full-length version is too detailed to share here but I am in awe over the faithfulness of God and the exceeding goodness of His plans for us. Each of us, as individuals.

I have recently resigned from my corporate job and am pursuing a new career and ministry direction. For the past few years, I have been serving the church, (by which I mean “the larger church” – believers near and far) with marketing support in the form of graphic design and web development. This past year, those efforts were magnified when I joined the team at Outward Heart, a Wisconsin-based non-profit that aims to equip new and emerging ministries to effectively communicate their purpose and passion, ultimately honoring God through their unique pursuit of the Great Commission and their role within it. (I took that definition right from their website because it so accurately portrays what we do!) We do this through brand development, digital/print media, storytelling, fundraising, and strategic marketing.

My role with Outward Heart is web development. I currently serve in this unpaid role up to 10 hours per week and will be expanding my availability as I continue to increase my donor support. My heart is invested in the good work that God’s people are doing all throughout His kingdom. The hands-and-feet missionaries both globally and domestically, that persistently share the Good News of Jesus Christ, preparing the way for Our Lord. I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting this mission through tax-deductible donations given through Modern Day, who manages my non-profit missionary status. I also have a convenient giving portal to make online and recurring payments at Modern Day Missions. I invite you to share in this ministry and to support the good work that is being done all throughout our communities: sharing the gospel, equipping the saints, loving on people, and bringing the vulnerable to safety.

In addition to ministry, I am also working under the SERVE Network to develop an online directory for Christian-owned businesses and ministries in the greater Green Bay area. This project is being built and tested in our own local market with plans to grow and expand as SERVE becomes a state-wide recognized organization and begins to build chapters throughout our region! This is such an exciting project to be a part of and one that fulfills my desire to amplify the Kingdom of God and support and lift-up God’s people.

Your financial support is not the only way you can help me fulfill this calling! Before (and above all else) I really need your prayers. Even if you are far from the Lord – know that God loves you and does hear your prayers when they are offered with sincerity and aligned with His will. I believe with all of my heart that God is good and takes care of His children so I invite you to share in wonder and awe that God is producing through the many ministries I have the honor of serving. *AND if you are far from Him, you are never too far. I pray that God would reveal His glory to you – that you might see and be changed and LIVE – in Jesus name.

One final note: Ideally I would support all of my needs through donations and commit myself full-time to ministry with Outward Heart. However, I am not afraid to support this work  by my own means. As such, I am open to contract and freelance work to supplement my income. If you, or anyone you know is in need of a website – please send them my way. I have been doing web design and development for nearly 15 years and am capable of handling projects of all sizes. Email me at me@amberrockey.com

God’s blessing and favor be on you and your family!

Peace,
Amber Rockey
